Poems That Start With the Letter 'I'
Incorporeal
These hands are distant, disembodied,
Scarce-remembered parts of me
That, moving as of their own will,
Write out the words that you now see
For I am not here, in this chair, at this desk
I have gone far away from this time and this place
To the realms that only the spirit may reach
In the endless of time, beyond limitless space
Into the Desert
Conscious emotions shift and flow
Like the ever-changing dunes of the desert sea
But beneath the restless surface
The deeper earth lies still
And none of us can know what path
The future's winds will clear for us
All we can do is remain centered in ourselves
And keep to the eye of the storm
"There are three things that remain:
Faith, Hope, and Love.
And the greatest of these is Love."
-- I Corinthians 13:13
If
Your lightest touch would squeeze blood from it
If I had a heart of stone
The absence of you would fill the room
If I was in a crowd alone
I would vibrate with you empathetically
If I was a musical tone
I would reflect from you more vividly
If I was a hue of rainbow chrome
If I filled an ocean with my tears
I could never shed enough for your pain
If I covered a slate with equations
What you mean to me could not be explained
If I was the son of the Sun
I would walk 'cross the water to see you again
If this poem spoke truly the beauty of you
Its perfection would drive all who read it insane

That was very beautiful poetry but one tiny part of it was from the Christian Bible . :)
